On our way from london to edinburgh, scotland, we stopped and stayed the night in york. we didnt really know what to expect with this town. it was a really cool medieval/viking-ish town. it has a lot of history to it. a long time ago the town used to be surrounded by stone wall. Today, a lot of the wall is still intact. you can even go walk up on top of the wall. a lot of buildings just look cool! very old and the roads are really small. and at our hostel we got a room that was just the 2 of us in it :)
through that archway is the city inside of the stone wall. today not all of the city is inside the wall. its expanded a lot.
